A piece of Northern Michigan history, reimagined for what's next. Tucked along Elk Rapids' bayside, Paradise Pines Resort is a rare offering: a beautifully restored 1938 cottage court spread across five wooded acres, just steps from the water. Directly across the street, Elk Rapids Day Park offers public beach access along a quarter-mile of East Grand Traverse Bay shoreline. Ten individual cottages, each with its own character, have been completely transformed from the ground up. New flooring, electrical, and plumbing throughout. Furniture and decor sourced from repurposed materials, giving every space warmth and story in equal measure. Nine cottages are currently in the rental program, ranging from a cozy 160-square-foot efficiency to a spacious two-bedroom retreat, together capable of hosting up to 28 guests. A shared fire pit, group dining area, and lawn space for games round out the property, creating the kind of communal, laid-back atmosphere that turns first-time guests into regulars. The owners' residence sits on-site as well, with five acres offering plenty of room to grow, whether that means additional cottages, expanded gathering spaces, or new amenities altogether. This is more than a vacation rental. It's a turnkey business with deep roots in the community, established goodwill, and real upside for the right owner. For the right buyer, Paradise Pines represents a rare chance to own a piece of Elk Rapids' history, and build onto its next chapter.
